Mississauga Apartment Fire Kills One, Injures Four

A fire broke out in a six-storey apartment building in Mississauga, killing one person and injuring four others. The blaze started on the first floor and was brought under control within 10 minutes after firefighters arrived.

Seven fire trucks and several emergency crews rushed to the scene. Police said the fire does not appear suspicious, but the exact cause is still under investigation.

Residents from the upper floors were allowed to return home after air quality tests confirmed it was safe. However, those living on the first floor will need to stay elsewhere for now because of heavy damage.

Neighbors said the person who died was a father of young children, and the community is rallying to support the affected families.
