Canada Remembers: 41 Years Since the Air India Flight 182 Tragedy

Canada is observing the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism today, marking the 41st anniversary of the tragic bombing of Air India Flight 182.

The attack took place on June 23, 1985, when a bomb exploded aboard the flight, killing all 329 people on board, including 268 Canadian citizens. It remains the deadliest terrorist attack in Canadian history.

Memorial services and remembrance gatherings are being held across the country. In Montreal, families of the victims, survivors, and community members gathered at the Air India Memorial Site to pay tribute to those who lost their lives.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney issued a statement remembering the victims and expressing support for their families.
