ഡയാബ്ലോ പോലുള്ള തീവ്ര വലതുപക്ഷ തീവ്രവാദ ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളാണ് വിദ്വേഷത്തിന്റെ ഈ വർധനവിന് കാരണമെന്ന് റിപ്പോർട്ട് പറയുന്നു. ഈ ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളിലെ ചിലർ മുൻ കനേഡിയൻ സൈനികരാണെന്ന് പറയപ്പെടുന്നു. സമൂഹത്തിൽ ഭയവും കോപവും സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്ന വംശീയ സന്ദേശങ്ങളും തെറ്റായ ആശയങ്ങളും അവർ പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

Big Increase in Hate Crimes Against Indian Canadians, Says Report

A recent report shows a worrying rise in hate crimes and racism against South Asian people, especially Indian immigrants, in Canada from 2019 to 2023. The number of hate crimes went up by 1,350%, and both online and real-world incidents of hate grew by 227%.

Social media has played a major role in spreading hate. Just before the 2025 federal elections, more than 2,000 hateful posts targeting South Asians were shared online. Many of these posts used offensive words like “uncleared,” “unqualified,” and “threatening” to insult Indian Canadians.

The report also links this rise in hate to far-right extremist groups, such as the Diablo gang. Some members of these groups are said to be former Canadian soldiers. They are spreading racist messages and false ideas that create fear and anger in society.

Experts say this growing hate is a serious danger to Canada’s peaceful and diverse culture. They are urging the government and communities to take action and stop the spread of hate before it gets worse.
