Rising Deportations: Canada Nears Record High in Removal of Indian Nationals

Canada is expected to deport more Indian nationals this year than ever before. According to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), by July 28, 2025, 1,891 Indians had already been removed from the country — very close to last year’s total of 1,997.

Indians are now the second-largest group being deported from Canada, after Mexicans. The number has risen sharply since 2019, when only 625 Indians were deported.
