17 People, Including 9 Minors, Arrested for House Burglaries in Calgary

The Calgary Police have arrested 17 people, including 9 minors, for breaking into homes across the city. These people are believed to be connected to more than 50 house thefts.

Police began investigating these crimes in June after they noticed a rise in home burglaries. The thieves often entered homes while families were sleeping and stole valuables.

Due to the increasing number of cases, a specialised police team was formed to apprehend those responsible. After many search operations, the police were able to arrest several suspects.

The group includes young people between the ages of 15 and 22. They now face over 100 charges, including theft, breaking into houses, stealing vehicles, and trying to avoid police.

Police are asking the public to share any related information through a special helpline.
