U.S. and Canada to Restart Trade Talks After Digital Tax Removed

The White House has announced that the United States and Canada will soon restart trade talks. These discussions had been paused because of Canada’s digital services tax, which the U.S. didn’t agree with. Now that Canada has removed this tax, both countries are ready to return to the negotiation table.

The U.S. had earlier stopped trade talks and asked Canada to drop the tax during the G7 summit. American officials are now hopeful that the talks will lead to better trade relations and fewer tariffs between the two countries.
