Canada Wins Bronze at FIBA Women’s 3×3 Basketball World Cup

Canada’s women’s basketball team won the bronze medal at the FIBA 3×3 World Cup held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. They defeated Poland with a strong 21-9 win after a tough loss in the semifinal against the Netherlands.

Veteran player Paige Crozon led the team with 13 points and five rebounds. Saicha Grant-Allen also played well, scoring five points and collecting five rebounds. Teammates Cassandra Brown and Kacie Bosch made key contributions too.

Even though Canada was missing important players Katherine and Michelle Plouffe due to injuries and other commitments, the rest of the team stepped up and performed well.

This is Canada’s first bronze medal in the tournament’s history. They had previously won silver in 2022 and finished sixth in 2023.

Meanwhile, the Canadian men’s team didn’t perform as well, finishing in 13th place and missing the playoffs.
