Canada Issues Travel Advisory for the Philippines as Cyclone Approaches

The Canadian government has issued a warning to travellers about a powerful tropical storm, Komi, which is expected to impact the Philippines, particularly near Luzon. The storm may bring heavy rain, strong winds, flooding, and landslides, which could disrupt transportation and electricity.

As a safety measure, schools and government offices in Metro Manila and 34 provinces are closed, and many domestic flights have been cancelled.

Canadian citizens in the affected areas are urged to stay alert, follow local authorities’ instructions, and register with ROCA (Registration of Canadians Abroad) to receive emergency updates.
