ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് കൊളംബിയയുടെ വടക്കൻ തീരത്ത് ബുധനാഴ്ച രാവിലെ റിക്ടർ സ്കെയിലിൽ 4.3 തീവ്രത രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയ നേരിയ ഭൂകമ്പം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി.

എർത്ത്‌ക്വേക്ക്സ് കാനഡയുടെ കണക്കനുസരിച്ച്, രാവിലെ 6:25 ഓടെയാണ് ഭൂകമ്പം ഉണ്ടായത്. ഹൈദ ഗ്വായ് മേഖലയിലെ ഒരു ചെറിയ സമൂഹമായ ഡാജിംഗ് ഗൈഡ്സിൽ നിന്ന് ഏകദേശം 93 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയാണ് പ്രഭവകേന്ദ്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

Mild Earthquake Hits Northern Coast of British Columbia, No Damage Reported

A mild earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale was recorded off the northern coast of British Columbia on Wednesday morning.

According to Earthquakes Canada, the quake occurred at around 6:25 a.m. The epicenter was located nearly 93 kilometers from Daajing Giids, a small community in the Haida Gwaii region.

Officials confirmed that no damage or injuries have been reported. Authorities also stated that such a quake is unlikely to cause any serious impact.

Experts say that the Pacific coastal region of British Columbia is one of the most earthquake-prone areas in North America. According to the United States Geological Survey, several strong earthquakes have occurred in this region in the past.

Residents were not advised to take any special precautions, but officials continue to monitor the situation closely.
