Quebec City Opens New Skilled Worker Program

Quebec City has launched a new immigration program called the Skilled Worker Selection Program (PSTQ). For the first time this year, the program has invited applicants under the Intermediate and Manual Skills streams.

In the latest round, 273 applicants received invitations from the Quebec Immigration Minister. To qualify, candidates needed to score at least 661 points.

The program is designed for workers residing outside the Montréal Metropolitan Area. Applicants must also show at least 24 months of work experience in the past five years to be eligible.

This marks an important step in Quebec’s efforts to attract skilled workers and support regional workforce needs.
